I'm often asked by many of you prior to your WOD if it is better to go heavier with a slower time or lighter with a faster time. The answer is yes. The CrossFit methodology is to be prepared for the known and unknowable and that requires variety in your training approach. Each approach will have a different organic response by the body, and it is important to work on each stimulus. We all reach to hit the workout as prescribed. However, an alternate decision is to choose a lower weight at a faster pace that will produce different training stimulus. This gives more of a well-rounded approach to your training program and a greater overall fitness level.
